The modernity of the Gulbenkian surroundings meets tradition at Laurentina, O Rei do Bacalhau (The King of Codfish). For more than four decades, the restaurant has been dedicated to the secrets of typical Portuguese cuisine, through the sharing of flavours and Portuguese pride for codfish, in a cozy atmosphere that excels in the artisanal fishing process and the organic nature of the ingredients.
A Portuguese menu invites us to taste some of the best codfish confections, present in several Portuguese recipes, regional dishes, and Mozambican cuisine, as well. This tasting can be accompanied by cheese, pão saloio (traditional bread), wine, and pastéis de bacalhau (cod fritters) while listening to Fado at dinnertime every Thursday.
The average meal price is 45€/2 pax. Open every day, closed on Sunday at dinnertime. It accepts reservations, offers a take-away service, and free parking in Berna and Valbom car parks through a voucher provided at the end of the meal.
