Avenida da Liberdade

Liberty Avenue is one of the most important streets in the center of Lisbon, a wide tree-lined boulevard, with about 1.5 km long, with several traffic lanes and walks decorated with gardens and Portuguese sidewalk. This is the grandest avenue in the city.

All along this avenue you can find the best restaurants in the city, trendy bars, upscale brand stores and other high end businesses. There is also an abundance of 19th century Portuguese architecture to admire and the two central squares that contain magnificent statues.

Strolling along the avenue takes you from the Marques de Pombal Square to Restauradores Square and you can admire the many storefronts along the way, which make Avenida da Liberdade the 35th most expensive road in the world.
