Officially recognized in 1906, José Alvalade created Sporting at a developing period of sports culture and is currently a Portuguese multi-sport club, better known for Football. We invite you to visit the José Alvalade Stadium, representative of the foundation of the new sporting era of the Lion Club, which saw Cristiano Ronaldo starting his career.
Considered one of the most avant-gardes of the world, the stadium with coloured seats was inaugurated in 2003 with 50,000 seats for EURO 2004, featuring the Alvaláxia Shopping Centre with a supermarket, cinema, and a multi-sports pavilion.
We advise you to take a guided tour of the stadium, where you can step on the most symbolic places that are restricted to the public, namely the presidential gallery, press room, access tunnel, changing rooms and lawn. Remember to see the Sporting Museum, discovering a history of identity and achievements built by the memories of the Club. Visits from Tuesday to Sunday, between 11:30, am and 4:30 pm.
It is easy to access by public transport to Alvalade.
