A tiny pocket of greenery in the middle of the city, this garden offers a space to reflect in peace while admiring the reflections in the tranquil ponds. It is named after the fado singer Amalia Rodrigues and it is home to the lovely voluptuous bronze sculpture Maternidade, created by Fernando Botero in 1999.
Located on a high area, it offers magnificent views of the city. This park is part of the Green Corridor, which is a project that links the upper part of Parque Eduardo VII to Monsanto.
There is also a restaurant within the park, where you can stop for a cold beer while listening to the calming sound of the wind rustling through the olive, almond and oak trees.
